There are flavor combinations that never fail us. Chocolate and peanut butter, apple and cinnamon, almond and egg cream… As enjoyable as it is to try new things, these familiar tastes have something comforting about them that can’t be replaced.
Banoffee is one of those matches – you can’t go wrong with banana and caramel.This banoffee pie recipe is quite straightforward and needs only 6 ingredients. It is a classic version, quick and easy, but it never disappoints. I hope you enjoy it!

Classic Banoffee Pie
cookie + banana + caramel + whipped cream!
Ingredients
Cookie Layer
- 300 g oat cookies
- 80 g unsalted butter
Banana and Caramel Layer
- 6 to 8 bananas
- 395 g cooked condensed milk (1 can)
Whipped Cream Layer
- 400 ml heavy cream
- 5 tbsp white sugar
Decoration (optional)
- chocolate shavings
- caramel sauce
Instructions
Cookie Layer
- Preheat the oven to 170 º C.
- In a food processor, grind down the cookies to a powder.
- Melt the butter in the microwave.
- In a bowl, pour the butter on the cookies. Mix well with a fork until you have a smooth mixture, which should look like wet sand.
- Grease and line with parchment paper a tall pie dish of about 24 cm in diameter.
- Transfer the mixture to the pie dish, molding the bottom and walls of the cookie layer with the back of a spoon.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool down.
Banana and Caramel Layer
- Peel the bananas and cut slices about 2 cm in height.
- Place the banana slices across the surface of the cookie layer.
- With a spatula, spread the condensed milk all over the banana, covering them completely. Store in the fridge.
Whipped Cream Layer
- In the mixer, beat the whipped cream until stiff peaks, slowly adding the spoonfuls of sugar.
- Store in the fridge again for at least 2 hours.
Decoration (optional)
- Remove the pie from the dish and carefully transfer to serving plate.
- Decorate to your liking with chocolate shavings and liquid caramel.
